Product Description

Features and Usage Areas of GPPS and EPS GPPS (General Purpose Polystyrene) is a hard and transparent thermoplastic obtained by polymerizing styrene monomer. EPS (Expanded Polystyrene), or commonly known as foam polystyrene, is produced by inflating and fusing GPPS particles. 'Pentane', the blowing gas used in EPS production, enables the formation of many small pores in the material. Pentane rapidly replaces air during and after production, enabling the formation of closed-pore cells filled with stagnant air, which constitute 98% of the material. The remaining 2% is created by polystyrene. EPS attracts attention with its lightness, easy processing, durability and low thermal conductivity. EPS is generally used in the following areas: As a heat and sound insulation material in the construction industry. As a material used in the packaging industry to protect and transport products.
