Product Description
Information about EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) EPS is a white-colored, closed-pore thermoplastic material produced by polymerizing styrene monomer. The blowing gas called 'Pentane' used in its production is the key to the light and insulating structure of EPS. Pentane evaporates by creating pores inside the EPS particles and is replaced by inert air, making up 98 percent of the material, while the remaining 2 percent is polystyrene. Thanks to this structure, EPS stands out with its features such as lightness, easy processability, durability and low thermal conductivity. Usage areas: EPS is widely used as a heat and sound insulation material in buildings. It is also a preferred material in the packaging industry, especially during the protection and transportation of products, because it increases the safety of products with its lightness and insulation properties.
