Co-Extruder

Co-Extrusion is the process of simultaneously drawing the material into multiple layers. This process involves using two or more extruders; these extruders direct plastics of different densities to a single extruder head at a constant volumetric rate. The thickness of each layer is controlled based on the speed and measurements of the material provided by each extruder.

According to food regulations, materials that come into contact with food must not be made from recycled materials. KUZEY's multi-layer extruder lines have an A/B/A sheet structure to prevent recycled materials from coming into contact with packaged food. KUZEY extruders use recycled material in the middle layer, referred to as the B layer, while using original material in the outer layers, referred to as the A layers.
