With its thermal resistance and low moisture absorption properties, PPA is suitable for use in chemical environments or extreme temperature conditions. Common applications include coil components in automobile engines, fuel line connections, and cooling pumps, as well as fittings and slides in aircraft engines.

PPA is also used in pump wear rings encountered in the petroleum, gas, and energy sectors.
