Erkalıp

Founded by Fahrettin Gülener in 1972, Erkalıp has been the cornerstone of the Ermetal Companies Group. With profound expertise in shaping high-strength sheets extensively used in the automotive sector, Erkalıp utilizes a significant portion of this experience to produce molds, control, and welding fixtures required by Ermetal Automotive. In the remaining capacity, Erkalıp engages in the production of Tandem, Progressive, and Transfer molds for the production lines of both domestic and international customers.

Erkalıp has the competence to manufacture molds for body and chassis sheet parts up to 5 meters in length and 40 tons in weight, as well as critical molds for complete products such as visual exterior and interior panel parts (door, roof, fender) on the vehicle, Safety Parts (steering column, rear axle, crash box, swing arm).

Having relocated to its current factory area in 1998, Erkalıp contributes to the country's development by being among the leading organizations in the mold industry through technological investments and employment opportunities. Training a workforce with sufficient education in design and manufacturing in the mold industry takes a considerable amount of time. In order to provide qualified personnel to the sector, BUTGEM (Bursa Technology Development Center), founded by Chairman of the Board Fahrettin Gülener, maintains a close collaboration, contributing significantly to the mold industry.

Starting from 2010, Erkalıp has gained significant experience, especially in the production and delivery of visual exterior panel molds. Today, with 6,500 square meters of closed space, 126 experienced moldmakers, and an annual capacity of 185,000 working hours, Erkalıp provides services. The latest technologies are utilized in the production of molds and fixtures. Processes and designs are developed using CATIA V5 software, and the shaping and feasibility analyses of developed surfaces are conducted using AUTOFORM simulation software. CAM programs developed with TEBIS and CATIA software are used for chip machining in 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines within the facility. In addition, Erkalıp ensures the transformation of raw materials into molds with laser, wire erosion, and other conventional machines in its possession. After measuring the molds with CMM and ATOS measuring machines and confirming them, Erkalıp carries out trial and training processes for the molds on its own presses. The delivery of molds exported abroad is handled by experienced commissioning teams at customer presses in countries such as France, Germany, Spain, Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Morocco, and Argentina.

Erkalıp's customers include leading automotive and mold companies such as FIAT-TOFAS, FIAT, FORD OTOSAN, RENAULT, TOYOTA, PSA, MATRICI, LAPPLE (GIW), SCHULER. Having received the Supplier Quality Award from TOFAŞ in 2008, Erkalıp also maintains a strategic partnership with PSA. It consistently ranks at the top among all of PSA's suppliers, participating in almost all critical projects worldwide.
