Zinc borate is widely used as a smoke suppressant and flame retardant in plastics, rubber, textiles, paints, adhesives, pigments, and ceramics. Its high dehydration temperature makes it suitable for the production of heat-resistant polymers. It can be applied in both halogen-containing and halogen-free flame retardant formulations.
